Barbados is the most easterly located island of the Caribbean. Thanks to its position it differs from the other islands.
If you don’t go, you don’t know - sailing across the Atlantic
We made it. We still cannot believe it. We arrived at Barbados after 20 days.
We thank to god and all of your crossed fingers that nothing really serious happened. We had had few hard times, but we managed it
Preparations for the Atlantic crossing
The first biggest chunk of water was ahead of us this November - the Atlantic ocean. We needed to sail nearly 3.000 nm which should take us between 18 to 24 days depending on the weather conditions.
Canary islands
Canary islands were our first stop and also a base to get ready for crossing our first ocean on our 2,5 year voyage. The goal for this part was to get ready. To travel the islands was secondary this time.
Our first two weeks of life changing experience
The four of us left Prague on Sunday the 8th of October. We arrived very late night at marina in Cádiz, Spain, where our boat was left by Michal.
